Tips for a successful campaign

If you are serious about getting the maximum results possible, please refer to these tips to optimize your permission based opt-in campaign.

  1. Subject Line
The most important part of your email message is the subject line. By creating a short but powerful subject line and combining it with take action wording, you will increase your results significantly. Be sure to include your incentive or offer.
    Examples:
    > Save 20% on your favorite CD’s.
    > Express your opinion and win
  2. Always Use Incentives To Increase results
Use such things as: a free trial offer, discounted coupons, free gift with every order, free delivery, buy one get one free or competitions.
  3. Create A Sense of Urgency
Make sure that you create a sense of urgency so people take action now. Limiting your offer does this. An example would be “Quickly take up this offer as it ends 12pm, 20th October 2009.
  4. Use Powerful Words
Increase your impact by using words such as free, discounted, bonus offer, special offer, not to be repeated sale and save money.
  5. Include To Call Action
This is a where you basically give them their instructions and outline the reward for doing so. An example would be “Quickly take up our survey at www.hipporewards.com and get XYZ
  6. Identify Your Targets Individual Needs
Tailor your emails to your audience’s needs, interests and the actual benefit of responding to your particular campaign. An example would be “ Take advantage of this XYZ product and you will automatically be put into the draw for your chance to win an all exclusive holiday to London”.
  7. Make The Recipients Response Easy
Be sure to make it easy for recipients to take advantage of your offer or to find out further information about your product or service. The Hippo Rewards site enables you to link directly back to your site from any campaign you choose.
  8. Keep Your Email Message Short
Be sure to make your email user friendly. Limit your paragraphs and break it up where possible so that people can read it easier.
